How to Be a Guest on the Community Cats Podcast

Frequently Asked Questions

We get lots of questions from guests and here are a few of the most frequent. If you have specific concerns that aren't answered here, feel free to email stacy@communitycatspodcast.com and we'll do our best to get you the information you need. Please fill out the guest onboarding form. If you don't hear from us, assume that your recording date and details are fine. We will contact you with any questions. Note, however, that filling out the form doesn't guarantee that you will be a guest on the show.

What information will I need to prepare?
Many guests like to know what we’ll ask ahead of time so they can prepare. The tone of this podcast is conversational and Stacy will likely be asking questions about your specific area of expertise. Stacy will also ask you questions based on your bio and specific topics you’ve noted that you’d like here to cover. In addition, here are a few examples of questions that you may be asked:

  1. How did you become passionate about cats?
  2. How can people find you?
  3. Is there anything else you want share with our listeners?

What will I need to record the show?
We are currently recording our shows via Zoom. Stacy will send you a Zoom link the day before we are set to record the show. You will need a quiet, distraction-free area to record. Having as little background noise as possible will help your episode to sound great! All electrical devices (aside from the device you’re recording on) must be turned off. Phones, tablets, laptops, and other devices can cause interference with the recording. Please power them down. Also consider silencing landlines.

How much time should I plan for?
Even though the podcast is only 20–25 minutes long, please allow ONE HOUR for the recording so that we can do a pre-show checklist and a closing after the recording.

What should I do after I record?
Share your experience! We’ll let you know when your air date will be and will send you an email that will help you craft your social media messages. Get your friends and fellow cat lovers excited for your release date and get ready to start communicating and collaborating with other members of the community cats sphere! Please also feel free to refer other potential guests to the Community Cats Podcast.

Ready? Submit your details.

If you're ready to share your expertise with the community, get started by telling us a little bit about you. We'll need this information to introduce you on the show, craft interesting questions for you and to create show notes.
